What Happened to Chivalry?

In: Escaping Feminism, Feminism, Refinement, Relationships, Socialism

chivalry is dead

Is chivalry dead or is it still alive? Some women expect it, other women resent and oppose it, but few understand what happened to it. What happened to chivalry?

Strangers on a Train

I recently watched a video that I found particularly sad. A young woman had posted a video wherein she was on a subway train, panning the space around her, showing that there were no empty seats. Many of the seats were taken by men. One of her captions said, “Chivalry is dead! What happened to men standing to give their seats to ladies???” This is a very good point, and indeed it is sad that the lady was not granted the protections and privileges of years past. It also brought up a few ideas in my mind.

Equality & Chivalry: Archenemies

The young woman was right to hope and expect special treatment from gentlemen who used to be honored to bestow it. Unfortunately, she seems unaware that “equality” and chivalry are archenemies. The exploitation of privilege coupled with the demand for equality is an unrealistic combination that defines feminism.

The days when men stood to relinquish their seats in honor of the presence of a lady are many decades ago when men believed women to be superior, not equal. As far as men were concerned, when women insisted that they were equal, they became independent entities who no longer appealed to men for help. Women have done this to themselves.

It is the very difference between the sexes from which chivalry originates. Chivalry is extended to a cooperative helpmate, not to a competitive rival. It is not extended to an equal because an equal is a rival. Equality ripped woman from her male protections and debased her, then degraded man to make him more suitable for her. This is what happened to chivalry.

A Different Woman

The character of woman has changed drastically through the years. The gentle self-forgetfulness that was the hallmark of beautiful femininity has been supplanted by selfishness, now labeled as narcissism, which is another defining element of feminism. Feminism created beasts of women.

Wise Words from the Past

The truth is, “Chivalry . . . has to be earned before it is bestowed and suffragists, feminists and socialists claim that they no longer ask men to do chivalry; they demand that woman shall be placed on a political equality with men, and no higher. But no man can worship a being who is no higher than himself. Any true man honors a poor woman with her baby over the feminist with her poodle.” – B. V. Hubbard, 1915.1

John Ruskin Weighs In

Socialist John Ruskin made a surprisingly good point when he said, “Each [sex] has what the other has not; each completes the other, and is completed by the other. The man’s power is active, progressive, defensive. He is eminently the doer, the creator, the discoverer. . . . The woman’s power is for rule; not for battle, not for conquest, not for contest. By her office and her place she is protected from all danger and temptation. The man in his rough work and the open world must encounter all peril and trial . . . often he must be wounded or subdued, often misled, and always hardened. But he guards woman from all this.”2

This correctly demonstrates that there are complementary differences between men and women. Chivalry showcases these differences and does not demean them.

Is This the New Face of Chivalry?
feminism is not chivalry

This is the image that feminism would champion as womanly power. No one said that a woman couldn’t cloak herself in manliness or assume a man’s role, or look attractive while doing it. But rational minds must ask why. Why would one want to take the most beautiful, pure, rewarding, and important position in the world and exchange it for a role that was not intended?

The idea of woman’s inferiority never came from man; it was planted programming through generations of falsehoods. It is a woman’s desire to imitate and supplant the man that is her admission of her self-perceived inferiority. Why else would she wish to defrock herself of her best qualities, protections, privileges and position, if she were not brainwashed to feel inferior?

Is Chivalry What Happened to Chivalry?

In a way, it can be said that chivalry itself is largely to blame for its own undoing, since it gave way to the demands of a very small and violent fringe element of the population. The silence of millions who opposed it was what men misunderstood as female consent. Protections and privileges are what gave unruly women the ability to act with lawlessness and violence and to brainwash generations of women.

Feminism always inverts facts and truths. Whereas chivalry elevates women and showcases their glory, feminism claims it mocks women’s inferior position and oppresses them. Chivalry bowed out to the feminist abuse and demands that it was no longer welcome. What happened to chivalry? The oft-repeated claim that chivalry is dead is because feminism has been in the corner, deliberately inducing its coma with the full intention of euthanizing it.

It is time to wake up to the dangers of feminism and the destruction it has caused. Feminism is what happened to chivalry.

What Women Should Know

Women would be wise to learn:

  • Due to feminism, a woman has relinquished her birthright to be considered a lady who automatically is entitled to special treatment.
  • Feminine privileges come from masculine protections. “Equality” eradicates masculine protections. The two oppose each other.
  • The indoctrination of lies is not the fault of women. This was deliberate and the historical record gradually will be set straight.
  • Unlocking your true potential, by discovering hidden historical truths, will emancipate you from the feminism that is ruining your life.
What Men Should Know

Men would be wise to learn:

  • Not all women are the same. It is futile to treat a feminist woman as a lady who is expects entitlements, privileges or exemptions. She will resent your attentions, buck your lead, and ruthlessly fight anyone who stands in her way or challenges her ideologies, most of them being falsehoods stemming from fabricated history.
  • Throughout human history, masculinity is the only thing that has eradicated feminism. This is why masculinity is “toxic” in a feminist world. It is that masculinity that is necessary to protect everyone, especially ladies, from the beasts that feminism and socialism have created.
  • Humanity needs you more desperately than you could ever know.
